Enrolment in the Rick Hansen SCI Registry has dramatically increased over the past few years.  As of March 22nd, 2012, over 2500 participants have consented to have their SCI-related data captured by the Registry.

Prior to 2010, the Registry had been growing by about 200 participants per year. Now the Registry is growing by about 600 people per year, and climbing.

"Clearly, the Registry is gaining traction across Canada," says Jennifer Zander, Project Manager. "Researchers and clinicians across Canada, along with Canadians with SCI and their families, are getting the message about the Registry's potential in terms of accelerating treatments and a cure for SCI. We have launched our new web-based data collection tool that has made participation that much more seamless and integrated."
